Health & Safety Regulations

Review the Health & Safety Standards with Your Staff to Avoid Delays During Move-In:

  • All participants must comply with the legislation contained in the Act Respecting Occupational Health & Safety Act, governed by the Province of Quebec;
  • All equipment must be inspected and in proper working condition;
  • All persons involved in the move-in and move-out process must wear proper protective footwear;
  • In areas designated as construction zones and where overhead work is being done, hardhats and proper protective footwear are mandatory, per the Act Respecting Occupational Health & Safety;
  • As an employer, it is your responsibility to ensure any staff/third party contractors comply with the legislation.

We require all exhibitors to read, return and inform your staff of their responsibilities as outlined in the Exhibitor Health & Safety Compliance Declaration form:

Emergency Procedures

  • Please familiarize yourself with the Palais des congrès de Montréal’s emergency procedures and key communication. Print and bring a copy onsite for quick reference in the event of an emergency.

Hazardous Materials/Products: SDS Required

Exhibitors planning on bringing hazardous materials or products onsite, (including install/ dismantle or in-booth demonstrations) must provide copies of each SDS (safety data sheet) to Show Management by March 22, 2019.  Exhibitors must have extra copies in their booth, should they be asked to show proof onsite.
